My Response to Patreon Support for Censoring my Account

My Response to Patreon Support for Censoring my Account

Dec 21, 2021

Hi “Patreon Trust and Safety,”

I received your many messages demanding I remove my content from your platform. I was willing to remove offending episodes and host those on my own site for Patrons. However, when your request EXTENDED to my website as well as my social media platforms (!!!) I realized I will not be able to comply with your demands.

The idea that a tech platform can extend their arm into the personally owned and maintained websites and social media accounts of its users is truly laughable. The audacity – to think that you can mandate and control what your users do outside your platform ascends to levels of “big brother” not even Facebook has managed yet. Bravo.

The leaders of this platform should be ashamed of themselves. How very UnAmerican and Unprogressive of them – the intolerance of the “tolerant” is truly breathtaking.

You asked me to delete informative episodes that shared with my audience my personal experience struggling to get ivermectin – an EFFECTIVE and FDA-APPROVED drug – when I had covid.

You asked me to delete episodes talking about the corruption surrounding Covid and how our government has handled it – all true information.

You asked me to delete an episode discussing how NAC – a critical supplement that MANY rely on for autoimmune conditions, rheumatoid arthritis and others, was being removed from shelves because it *might* have effectiveness as a therapy for Covid.

This was all to be expected. As a conservative, I am used to being marginalized in my views online.

But THEN you asked me to delete an episode with my friend Natalie Gaines who is not only a fellow Christian and believer in Jesus Christ, but a black woman. This episode was NOT political but was solely discussing how our identity is not found in skin color, ethnicity, socioeconomic status or otherwise, but in Christ alone, in whose image we are created.

That was telling – since as a black woman, her voice (according to big tech platforms like yours) is marginalized and should be “elevated.” But it turns out – you wanted me to DELETE that episode from my very own podcast feed and website.

WHY? Because this isn’t about skin color at all – it’s about ideas. And you don’t care to elevate anyone, regardless of skin color, who doesn’t comply and coalesce to your ideological demands.

Whatever happened to “believe all women?” Does her black life not matter? Should she be expunged from the internet and your platform because she puts forth conservative and Biblically based ideas? It appears so.

In the four years I’ve had a podcast and a platform, I have not experienced the kind of religious discrimination by even Instagram or Facebook you attempted to impose on me.

I will not bow the knee to these demands because they would require me to act against my beliefs and obedience to Christ.

I echo Martin Luther’s sentiment when I say my policy with platforms like yours has been “Peace if possible. Truth at all costs.”

I delight to obey God’s Word over man’s and invite you to do whatever you must do to comply with your policy.

Regardless of what “offending content” you sanctimoniously sniff out and remove from your platform,  the good news is that in four days, I will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ – who came to the world to save sinners, of whom I am the utmost.

His birth, life, death and resurrection is the reason I live, move and have my being.

The reason for my unmoved beliefs and unwavering stance against this censorship is motivated from the below verses.

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of[g] your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.”

Colossians 1:15-23

Merry Christmas.
